Carhartt's new store in Louisville is open.
The workwear retailer's new store opened at 4720 Summit Plaza Drive, in the Paddock Shops, on March 13. Carhartt offers outer wear and work wear for men, women and kids, including jackets, sweatshirts, pants and accessories, according to a news release.
The Dearborn, Michigan-based company employs more than 3,000 people worldwide and operates more than 50 stores in the U.S. Lexington is the only other Kentucky city with a Carhartt store. The Louisville store is about 4,251 square feet and cost $500,000 to renovate, according to a permit filed with Louisville Metro Planning and Design, that we reported on back in December. The buildout of the space included demolition of non-load bearing walls, fixtures, finishes, lighting, power, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
“We are thrilled to add Louisville to our retail footprint to make Carhartt’s durable and versatile workwear easily available to a thriving community of skilled trade workers in industries like manufacturing, transportation and construction,” said Mark Kastner, director of direct-to-consumer store strategy and experience at Carhartt. “We’re excited to expand our retail presence to meet an increased need for gear that supports the lifestyles of people in Kentucky and helps them create their own histories – both on and off the job site.”
The store, which is Carhartt’s 53rd stand-alone in the U.S., will feature brand’s styles and innovative technology, including the Force performance line, Rain Defender durable water-repellent finish and Rugged Flex technology for optimal mobility, a news release said.
This store’s hours will be as follows: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday. For more information about Carhartt and current retail locations visit stores.carhartt.com.
